You should not have to put your health on hold, or fight the language barrier, just because you are living in Spain. Longevity Marbella provides private, specialist-led prescriptions and continuity of care to expats anywhere in Spain, by secure video, in English or Dutch, after a proper consultation.

This is not a faceless online form that issues a script to anyone who ticks a box. Every prescription is reviewed and issued by a doctor double board-certified in Endocrinology and Hospital Medicine, who looks at your history and your reason for the medication first. It is concierge medicine, held to the same standard our long-term patients receive, delivered wherever you happen to be.

Wherever you are in Spain

Because consultations are by secure video, your location is not a barrier. We look after British, Dutch and other international expats right across the country, from Marbella, Estepona and Sotogrande on the Costa del Sol, to Alicante, Valencia, Jávea, Moraira, Dénia and Altea on the Costa Blanca, the Balearics (Mallorca and Ibiza), the Canary Islands, Sitges and the Costa Brava, and the cities of Madrid and Barcelona. Discreet concierge home visits are available on the Costa del Sol; everywhere else in Spain, care is by private video.

In your language, without the public-system maze

For most expats the hardest part is not the medicine, it is explaining yourself in Spanish at a busy health centre and hoping nothing is lost in translation. Here you speak directly with a specialist in English or Dutch, who understands your history and continues your treatment properly. No queue, no interpreter, no guesswork.

Hormonal and endocrine prescriptions

This is where a specialist genuinely matters. A prescription for hormone therapy, thyroid medication, or a hormonal treatment used for a medical condition should be handled by someone who understands the whole picture, not issued blindly. If you are already established on treatment, we can review it and, where appropriate, continue it. Related care includes HRT and menopause and testosterone replacement therapy.

Everyday prescriptions while you are in Spain

Beyond hormones, many routine, non-controlled medications that come up in general medical care can be continued after consultation, for example thyroid, blood pressure or cholesterol treatment. Some medications require prior records or tests before they can be issued, and we will tell you clearly and quickly what is possible in your case.

What we will and will not do

Being clear about this is part of doing it properly. Prescriptions are always issued after a consultation and at the physician's clinical discretion, never automatically. We do not provide on-demand prescriptions for controlled or high-risk medications, and some treatments cannot be issued without prior records or assessment. If something is not appropriate to prescribe, we will say so and, where we can, point you to the right care.
